The United States remains the premiere location world wide for any global company to have a corporate presence.  If you can succeed in the US market, you can succeed anywhere in the world.

Intra Company Transfer

The most widely utilized immigration vehicle that companies use is the intra company transferee visa aka “L-1A visa.”  The L visa is designed for executives and managers to be seconded to the USA in order to open a “new office” and or maintain an already operating US office, branch, or affiliate.

They had to have been working for the foreign parent, branch, or affiliate for at least 1 out of the past 3 years and they now seek to come to the USA to continue those executive or managerial duties.

This visa is generally renewable for up to 7 years, however, most L visa holders opt to apply for Permanent Residency through the EB-1C Green Card, as the requirements for the EB-1C are largely similar to the L-1A.  The L visa holder can bring their spouses and immediate family members to the USA for the duration of their stay.
